In this year of intense struggles -- of isolation and stress, of the suffering of hundreds of thousands of our friends and loved ones from a frightening pandemic, of deadly disparities in access to health care, of political awakening and racial reckoning, and of climate catastrophe, our center has steadfastly offered both first-time meditators and experienced practitioners the Dharma as a path of truth, of awakening, of liberation, and of peace.
Generosity is part of our spiritual path as Buddhist practitioners and we can only do this with your generosity and commitment. You enable the center to make the teachings of Buddhism accessible to all, regardless of ability to pay, so that no one is turned away for inability to donate. Now, we need your support to continue and to grow in our reach and in our vision. This includes new and continuing programs to support the values of equity and compassion, accessibility and belonging, and the transformation of individuals and communities include:
As we grow in these exciting new directions, our need for your support grows as well. We need your help more than ever to better serve the sangha and live into our values. We need to lift some of the burden off the volunteer board, to grow and support our staff and to supplement our teachers’ dana. We rely wholly on your support for all we do. We invite you to explore the practice of generosity and to give what is in your heart (and of course your budget!) to provide. Thank you to those who have already contributed throughout the year, as well as recently. Please consider a gift now of $1000, $500, $250, $100, $50 -- or whatever feels right to you. Please give as much as you possibly can, no amount is too large. Also no amount is too small. |
